Some shots of the Sub7 in action.

We received an enthusiactic email from Bill Mattos back from the Rio Vouga in Portugal were he tested his brand new Sub7. We decided to let you read it as it follows the remarks Bob Campbell made about the boat and there are some action shots as well !

Hi there,

Just tried my Sub7 from Pyranha

It's so short and cute! But the hull speed belies it's stumpyness; it's amazingly good at establishing on a wave and hanging in there, or for getting forward on the pile when you thought you'd blown it. The double chines, a la ProZone, give it a unique feel when carving, and the hull works great for spins and airblunts.

Other strong points are super balanced cartwheeling for multiple clean ends, and somehow they've combined slicey-ness with lots of footroom. Clever, eh?

It does great loops and wipers, too.

I've run some big volume 4+ in it and lived to tell the tale, but it's probably not the most whirly/seam-friendly boat you've ever paddled - how could it be with all that park'n'play performance and its tiny overall size? The superb XR outfitting system completes a pretty comprehensive product tho - I think I'll use it for most stuff.
