Playspot: USA, Colorado, Golden, Clear Creek, Clear Creek Whitewater Park, Drop #7
What's it like
A hole that requires no paddle at certain levels. For the most part it's gentle unless you go too far river left where it is a little sticky but not dangerous. The hole is best from about 450 to 1000-CFS. A pretty big window for river that small. I've seen 30 pts to the right and splits both ways. I've also even seen 20pts with no paddle. Its mostly a righty but above 600 its anybody's choice. A relatively small pocket but easy to dial and get creative on. Fun park and play on several of the other features along the course including mysteries...
How to get there
Go to the main street in Golden (home of Coors Beer) and head west on 10th street. Go 4 blocks to the baseball field which is on the left. There is a huge dirt parking lot next to the baseball field and along the river. The road dead-ends so you can't miss the kayak course on your left. There is parking for about 50 cars and additional space across the road.
