Waterfall: Norway, Oppland, River Vagamo, Smadoela
What's it like
Smadoela is a great 18 meters (ca 55 feet) fall straight into a deep pool. The landing is a little bit narrow and there is a risk of pancaking. The runnable line is pretty much straight forward in the middle. The surrounding WW consists of short, tight and really hard technical creeking: class V, with portages.
The water is damn cold: 6-7°C. The best time is late summer or early spring.
How to get there
From Oslo, take the E6 road up to Vagamo (appr. 5 hours). About 10 kms after you have passed Vagamo, you'll take the steep road towards Randsverk. After 3 kms make a right turn up to Brimi Fjellstue (dirt road). Drive past Brimi and continue along the lake, the road will lead you to it.
