What's it like

A really cute wave. Even at very low water levels it's possible to surf yourself silly, practice back-surfs without any risk and even do some simple vertical stuff (with a modern boat anyway...). Also at high water levels the wave is extremely regular and the eddies are perfect. Very good for beginning surfers and for squirters. Easy swimming.
Size at low water level: 2 mtrs x 50 cms, at high level: 10 mtrs x 80 cms.

How to get there

Quite a drive from the freeway, but it should be worth it at not too low water levels Once in Entraygues, follow directions Aurillac and Conques ('toutes directions'). When these directions split (you'll see an old bridge with one-way traffic on your left), follow direction Conques for 1.7 kms. The wave is now on your left. Try to park the car a bit further, so as not to annoy the locals. Another possibility is to start paddling from the camping place in the centre. The wave is 600 meters downstream.
