Eastern France, Rhone River, Yenne

What's it like
This small slalom course (100-150 meters) is fed by the river Rhône which is blocked by a broad dam (not runnable). The water is fast and powerful and not suitable for beginners. A small track can be used to carry your boat back to the take in. Access is free.
There are no world-class waves or holes here, but it is not far (50 km) from Sault Brenaz, so you can use it to spice up your stay there.
How to get there
The course is not in the village of Yenne itself, but close to it. Coming from the north, follow the A40 to Bourg en Bresse. After Bourg en Bresse take the A42 to Amberieu en Bugey. Leave the A42 for the 504 to Lac du Bourget (direction Chambery). At the junction with road 516 (directly after a bridge) go left and follow the 504. Soon you'll see a quarry on your left. Go left here and down to the Rhone. Bingo.
Locals
That's a real advantage: you'll very likely have the course all for yourself...
