Prague, Troja, River Moldau, Troja Wave

April 2003: Troja has sort of survived the huge floods of 2002 and is open for training again. For a status report and photos, see the new Troja pages.
Playspot: Czech Republic, Prague, Troja, River Moldau, Troja Wave.

What's it like

An artificial whitewater course, originally built for slalom races, right in the Czech capital. There are a couple of playspots that entitle it to be listed on PLAYAK.COM. The first one is not too huge, but still pretty retentive. It is always there as the water levels are fairly stable over the year:

There are a couple of other nice waves on the course:

There is a small kiosk as well as a camping place 'Camp Sokol Troja' next to the course. The next picture shows an overview of the complete area:

A trip to this play area can well be combined with visits to the Slalom courses in Roudnice and Cunovo in Slovakia.

How to get there
