What's it like
A big, very surfable wave. At low water levels (6 x 0.5 mtrs) it is a breaking wave. At high level, the size becomes 7 x 1 mtrs.
The best time is May-June. In summer, at low water levels, it's good for first surf experiences.
How to get there
Coming from Steyr through the Ennstal, turn left before the Ennsbridge in Grossreifling. After 8 kms you'll pass Palfau and then, after a further 2 kms, turn right at the crossroads. It's 25 more kms to Wildalpen. In the very center of Wildalpen look out for the camping place sign; turn left. Some hundred meters more and you are there. Leave your car out of the camping area, you have to carry your boat 100 meters.
