GLIDE: the boat that changed the rules!

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to team up with Richard to create his third plastic slalom kayak design. Along with input with athletes such as Scott Shipley (a world cup champion and Olympian), we have created the definitive plastic slalom kayak, focused on bringing the feel and style of a lightweight composite kayak, to everyday paddlers.

To call this great new design a kids creek boat is misleading. Really, it's a small person river runner that's well adapted for creeking, designed with the latest most progressive creek boat ideas, combined with a planing hull, in a package that's downsized.

A little more than a decade ago, an entire class of boat simply disappeared: the playful river runner. These were truly great boats because they bridged that gap between a hard core creek boat, and a play boat. They could run fairly hard rapids, while remaining entertaining and easy to paddle, and muck about in.

You might wonder why we called this the Hammer? This is the playboaters creekboat. It’s designed to paddle and feel more like the boat you know, so the adaptation period is easier. But beware, this is not a half-slice, nor a river runner. It’s an all out, teeth-baring creek boat. While it's more focused on tighter lower volume creeks, true to its namesake, the Hammer will handle even the biggest volume runs. This is a creeker focused on improving the paddling experience for everyone, not just a handful of pros.

The Coosa FD is based on the top selling Coosa HD hull and deck layout but adds a long-awaited Flex Drive 3D system allowing for hands-free propulsion. The Coosa is the answer to the evolving needs of the river and small water kayak fisherman. The Bite Angler takes the 2019 Bite and adds new features including extra seat padding, seat security clips, MOLLE panel for ease of customization and is now offered in most fishing colors for 2020. The Big Tuna is one of our largest capacity kayaks with the ability to paddle either as a tandem or a solo fishing kayak. It has many different seating positions allowing for traditional tandem positions, ‘facetime’ positions and a good variety of solo positions making it a great platform for fishing of all kinds. Its JK stability, logical accessory positioning, rudder option, and speed make it a serious predator in all water types. Unique “Tuna Tank” can be used as a livewell or dry storage.

With its dugout deck, lowered standing area and extra ‘reserve buoyancy’ the NSP Sonic excels in open ocean races. It’s also extremely capable out of the ocean, on calm water. This board is Travis Grant’s personal favorite and it’s targeted at advanced racers. The NSP Sonic 12’6 x 24 Pro Carbon is a shorter version of the same board, while the 12’6 x 25.5” Carbon is a slightly wider detuned version.
