Hey,
Im heading to Idaho this summer (end of july early august) and I want to get some rivers in while im there. Im heading to Cascade, north of Boise for a wedding so I guess thats where ill be based but I have a van and will travel. I need to hire a boat over there as Delta are having none of my pleading to take my boat. Does anyone know of somewhere I can hire a mamba 8.0 or similar river runner in the Boise/Cascade area. Ill be looking to hire for about 2 weeks july 25th to Aug 8th and if anyone is around that area and fancies showing an irish girl some fun grade III/IV runs please get in contact.

There's not going to be a whole lot of water left in Idaho that late in the summer, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something. The payettes will be the obvious start; between Boise and Cascade you've got the main, south, and north fork of the payettes. I'm not sure which will still be flowing, but certainly something will be.

You can rent a boat from Idaho River Sports . They might also give you some advice for rivers to run if you get in touch with them. You should also check out the Kayak Idaho forums. Someone there might be able to fill you in on what will be flowing still.

I'm in southern Idaho but could probably drive up and paddle for a few days if you're looking for company. If you want,, go ahead and email me at powerglove *at* gmail.com sometime.
