Hi guys!

I am just wondering if anyone has any current information on the level of the Nile at the moment?

Thanks,

Hey, Aids!
Who is up there now? Any of your mates?
I am still planning on going in October :)!

Katie, you can try and check with KayakTheNile crew.
There is an e-mail link on the website.
How long are you going to be there?

Cheers,
Dima

A mate of mine here knows someone there, not sure who. :)

Right now, and for the last week, the level has been high! And one can paddle onto Nile Special - no rope needed. But of course that can change overnight, as the flow is dam controlled. It really could do anything and can change in a flash. Either way, the river will be fun I'm sure. Isn't any day on a river a good day? :cheer:

Absolutely, any river day is better than a day at work!! Hopefully the level will stay up enough for Nile Special / Malalu,

Heya all!
So...
Has anyone been there recently? Or better yet - is there now?
What's up? (hopefully the answer is - the water levels... :))
Any changes?
Whats the status on the dam?
Is everything still runnable? (PLEEEEZ....) - exept for Ugly Sisters, Total Ganja and Surf City... those are gone, I know (been there...)

Cheers,
Dima

Never got a reply from that person, but found out from Scotty. He is there right now.

He said the level was low, but all the major lines can be run. Nile Special was good but he didn't say whether a rope was needed or not.

On a negative note, word is that from Bujagali to Silverback will be flooded by December. I believe the mood there is a little low at the moment. I guess it's going to happen sooner or later. Still he's having an awesome time!!! :cheer: As would be expected... :woohoo:

Hope that helps a little. B)
