Zambezi september 16 years 11 months ago #21286

I'm heading to the Zam in september hopefully getting some mates along at various weeks but also hoping to hook up with paddlers already out there. Does anyone here plan on being there in September and fancy hooking up for a paddle?

Cheers.

Chris.

Hi there,
I won't be able to join you but I know for a fact there will be other paddlers there. There always are at that time of year...Enjoy.

Some articles to keep up the excitement levels:

Scott also has some great stuff on his site, observe:

Some mates of mine went in December (including New Years) for only a week and they were the only kayakers... Quite weird. But at that low water time, there should be plenty of people.

Where are you staying? Fawlty Towers/Jolly Boys/Waterfront? Enjoy it! :cheer:

Jolly Boys is quite lekker. We stayed at Fawlty Towers and I wouldn't stay there again. We got a really crap room, having to trudge through someone else's room to get there and it was as hot as hell. If I drove up, I would stay at the Waterfront, no doubt about it! But it's far from town so getting to and fro can get expensive. If I flew up, I'd stay at Jolly Boys. You'll enjoy it!
