The boat for a bit of everything and a bit like your big brother, always looking out for you! The Stretch is the exciting more forgiving 'boof friendly' River runner in the line up for 2006. Super predictable and confidence inspiring for any level of paddler while still remaining playful enough for a quick surf and cartwheel session the Stretch combines easy paddling and great performance with its softer edges, extra length and river running volume. The comfortable cockpit and precise control you get from the syncro 6 outfitting finish off this superb all round river running package.

If you're happy, you're successful.

Its big not very playful, if you want a river runner nice boat its an upscaled dumbed downed Seven O if you want somthing for harder white water I would probably look towards the ammo or burn from Pyranha, Or if you are after a playful river runner look at the recoil or SevenO m/l. I used to paddle the s/m SevenO it is a very nice boat great for alpine fun but for creeking I use a H3 245.

one of my friends has one and i have had a go. it can be flat water cartwheeled and bowstalled. however both him and myself find it a pig to roll and is not the most comfortable boat to paddle.

hope this helps

Don't listen to everything Pyranha tell you!

I bought this boat new a couple of weeks back, its an absolute bugger to roll. Had a fool proof roll down and it worked in my old boat and everything I have ever paddled until this one.

For some reason the stretch is very hard to roll. I have to go and re-invent my one now, or try a few other techniques. I don't like swimming and for the first time in at least a year I ended up pulling the deck on a rapid, only later to find out she does not roll well in the calmest water either!

Also while gently floating down a weir last week, a grazed off a rock which tore a nice gash out of the side of her! I'm worried about this. I have put older boats through a lot more and they have come out a lot better looking! If the stretch is made out of this kind of plastic - I'd recommend you only take her surfing if you buy one!!

She does surf well!

Nahh buy something else!

This boat is really hard to roll. ti requires you to sweep your hips lot sooner than with other boats.
Problem is that the back deck is too high so one cannot lean back so much as in other boats.
This is the only boat i wasn't able to roll without paddle.
Otherwise it's quite nice but i would reccomend it to tall or big ppl only.

i have one and i found at first that it was hard to do support strokes... it was a little harder to roll... i think this is because the shape of it...
but after a couple of rivers i fell in love with it
i got used to te way it works ad now i dont think twice about rolling or skulling or bracing
but what i did notice is because this boat requires a lot of technique in your strokes it improves your paddling significantly.... especially your roll technique :)

you can talk about technique when you learn how to high brace with out putting your shoulder out of place ;)

i personally dont like the stretch it just feels strange, theres not anything i can define i just dont like it. Kayakdood is probably right about it just taking time to get used to but for me its just not good enough for me to want to get used to. also regarding the plastic i have an inazone and the plastic scores easily on it aswell but it is also quite thick so its mainly just cosmetic as far as i know.

This was my 1st boat 4 years ago. Its still my favorite boat. runs white water great and surfs better. Never had problems rolling in any type of water.
