A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO I PURCHASED A KAYAK FROM ATLYAK. IT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE SINCE I PURCHASED IT. TODAY I TRIED TO ASSEMBLE IT ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT WILL NOT ZIP UP. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER WITH NO LUCK. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF ALTYAK IS STILL IN BUSINESS, HAVE THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME? I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO CONTACT THEM ABOUT MY PROBLEM. IT IS MOST DISAPPOINTING AFTER WAITING SO LONG AND LOOKING FORWARD TO AT LAST GETTING TO USE THE KAYAK ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WILL NOT GO TOGETHER.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP ANY ONE CAN PROVIDE.

It does not look very promising: Their website just shows: Account for domain www.atlyak.com has been suspended.

I HAVE RESOLVED TE PROBLEM.THE POSITION FOR THE AFT BULKHEAD IS SET IN THE WRONG PLACE. I MOVED IT FORWARD OF THE POINT INDICATED ON THE FRAME AND IT ZIPPED UP PROPERLY. MUST HAVE BEEN A BAD DAY ON THE PRODUCTION LINE. NOW I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT OUT ON THE WATER.

Hi All-

Im American living in Japan. I kayak around the many islands of Japan often. But now I am thinking about going from Japan to Thailand via Kayak.

Is this possible? If so what do you do to prepare for such an adventure?

I would like to learn from other experienced Kayak folks who have spent weeks in a Kayak.
