I’m going to Nepal in November and want to do some kayaking. I never been to Nepal before, or that part of the world, so quite excited over what I can expect. Anything you guys/girls could recommend? Rivers that need to be done, places worth seeing or tips 'n tricks for getting around, good hotels/hostel/campsites?

Anything that can help out four kayakers that want to experience Nepal and its rivers, it very helpful, so if you have a minute it would be appreciated.

So by that i'm guessing you're doing a river guide's course with equator expeditions? I know Nepal is unbelievably beautiful. But unsure of the political situation and how that might affect anything at all for tourists. You should ask your guides that.

No, nothing organized, just four kayakers with a plane ticket, and one night booked in Thamal.
Everything else is an adventure.
Just want to get a understanding and some tips about what to not miss.
Most kayakers are very sharing about rivers and other stuff that’s nice to know. (well, there are some super secret projects out there, but still.)

There´s a huge amount to be kayaked.

Not sure on your aim...scenic grade III? Pumping grade V?..Waterfalls?.. Multidays?..


Two of the better (harder) Expeditionrivers are the Humla Karnali.. (i dont like it because of some hardcore portages)..and the Arun Gorges (one of my favorite).

An overall great trip is the Thule Bheri. Offers all difficulties..but with a "safe" trail along the river..

Very good overall (for your period) is to run the

Modi, Mardi, Marsyangdi, Bothe Koshi and maybe add anotgher river if you are in a rush to only paddle.

Those river are in the III/IV+ range, road access, no major portages, easy to do on your own, only negative is, that you willm iss the Nepali bit...you will get that on some of the longer trips.. in November the Tamur could be a great choice...

If you are out for exploring.. hm.. need to think what is left but, some hardcore exploration can be done in the far west of the country...side creeks of the Arun river in the east..some small creeks into the Dudh Koshi river (thought November will likely see them too dry)..

Ok..enough..take your boat and paddle...Himalayas got plenty..
