Boothy recaps the weekend's racing from Down Under ~ 'It had been a nice 4 weeks off SUP racing heading into the National Titles on the Gold Coast. With heavy water being cancelled it gave me some time to refresh the mind and body and do some fun downwind training. The Tech Race was run on the Monday afternoon and we were treated with some pretty epic conditions. It was about 20knots crosswind, with 2-3ft of surf and a very challenging course and competitive field. I spent a fair portion of the race in the top 3 swapping leads with Lincoln Dews and James Casey but after paddling into no man's land and missing waves on the third lap I went from first to fourth and that’s how it stayed.
