May 18 Social Starboard SUP Surfing FB Sonni Hönscheid and Michael Booth both have a dominant lead on the competition with the announcement of The Paddle League World Rankings today. Boothy, with strong wins at Carolina Cup and 12 Towers as well as a close 2nd at Air France Paddle Festival is 43 points out ahead of team mate Connor Baxter who had a slow start to the season but has come back fighting with wins at Olukai and Kerama Blue Cup. Sonni has shown unrivalled strength this season with very few people able to keep pace when she does her almost signature mid-race pack break, winning every Major and Regional race she has competed in by an impressive gap every time. Closest behind by 137.5 points is Japan's Yuka Sato, after spending pre season in Australia she came out of the gate hitting hard keeping on the podium in almost every race so far. Fiona Wylde is in 3rd after missing the Hawaiian races she has less race points to count than the leaders but is likely to catch up quickly heading into European Season ...
