Dec 1 Social Esquif FB Il y a un peu plus d’un mois (Octobre, 2017), notre représentant Johno Foster a réuni quelques amis afin de volontairement cravater un canot de T-Formex afin d’évaluer le résultat. Comment cela a fini? Très bien! Voici ce que Johno a à nous dire; ‘’Le T-Formex est un multilaminé très similaire au Royalex. Je m’attendais donc a un rendement équivalent mais je voulais le voir de mes yeux. Après deux saisons à pagayer les canots en T-Formex de Esquif sans aucun incident majeur, je réalisais que pour en avoir le cœur net je devais obligatoirement en cravater un délibérément. Mark Scriver et Matt Hamilton se sont joints à moi et nous avons trouvé un endroit idéal sur la rivière Petawawa, une roche bien défini, un fort courant et un accès facile. Ce fût plutôt difficile émotivement ...
Dec 1 Social Esquif FB About a month (October, 2017) ago our Eastern Canadian sales rep, Johno Foster, enlisted some friends’ help to purposely pin a T-Formex canoe on a rock to see the results. And how did it turn out? Great! Here is what Johno had to say : “T-Formex is a very similar plastic laminate to Royalex so I expected it to perform the same but I wanted to see it firsthand. After two seasons of paddling Esquif’s T-Formex canoes without any serious mishaps I realized I was going to have to wrap one on purpose. Mark Scriver and Matt Hamilton joined me and we found a perfect spot on the Petawawa River - a very well defined rock with a strong current and easy access to the shore. Emotionally speaking, it was quite difficult to wrap this brand new T-Formex Présage around a rock but it was well worth the efforts. When we unpinned it the hull immediately popped back into shape with no signs of delamination or tearing. The expected creases were present but the hull was still stiff ...
