Jan 22 Social Whitewater SUP Dear Mike Harvey, I am writing this because I was the last person on this page to share themselves running a waterfall, and after reading your opinion piece I couldn't help but point out a few things. The pic I posted is of Nesowadnehunk Falls on my home river of the West Branch of the Penobscot, and is a test piece for SUP. It is a very special place in the shadow of Katahdin, the Great Mountain. A place where I have honed my paddling career and a place I am proud to share with others. I have been paddling for most of my life and around the world (wwkayak, sup, expedition, ocean etc).. but I'm not here to justify my resume. After reading, and re-reading your piece I have difficulty understanding the hypocrisy of it. It sounds that if you are a big name or 'legend' it's ok to share your experiences on social media and you are progressing, but if you are a no-name athlete it is lame and a dis-service to the sport. It reminds me of high school where if you are a sports star ...
