The SIMSUP ST (Split Tail) gives you all the benefits of a wide tail (built in stability, tons of lift and instant down the line speed) and more. Think two tails in one. This tail design modifies surface area giving this model a more responsive, controlled feeling through turns. A hulled entry which quickly transitions into a single concave under standing position then deep double concave to vee out the tail making this board very stable yet still allowing it to go rail to rail with ease. Three stage rocker adds a flat spot under rider's standing position which helps with paddling and stability. Also acts as a gas pedal under front foot while surfing. Dimensions and volumes can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

A little background: The SIMSUP® models are our bread and butter and what put L41 on the map. We've developed many variations of this basic design over the past 6 years but each one shares the same DNA. These are high aspect ratio displacement hull designs that borrow theories from surfboard pioneer, Bob Simmons (hence the name, SIMSUP). The length, width and bottom contours combine to create a board that gets up on plane with very little effort. This translates to instant down the line speed on any sized wave. Also, the generous nose and tail widths create stability and allow them to be ridden much shorter than you're used to. These boards will change your entire outlook on Stand Up Paddling.
