Hello,
My old coworker just moved to Humboldt for school and she's looking for a low-priced sea worthy light weight kayak.
I was suggesting her something like Hobie 11, OK T-11 or Tarpon120.
She just went back to school so her funds are limited but she wants to fish & crab while she's up there.

Let me know if anyone has one lying around & collecting dust or taking up some room in the garage...

Thanks :smt006

Naoaki

I have a tandem in great condition and perfect for crabbing that she can have for $250.

Thanks Sonny,
What’s the make & model?
I don’t know a tandam is considered light, but comes w/ seats & paddles?
I actually some one else might interest...

Looks like it might be an Islander? Maybe a Paradise II model. But, I’m about half blind

Hi Naoaki,
It's the Islander not sure which model though.  I bought it for taking friends out clamming but haven't have a chance to use it until the crab opener.   It comes with seats and paddles.

Thank you Sonny, sounds like she's looking for smaller one (~11ft).

Thanks tho!

I have a Hobie sport sitting in the garage which the wife almost never uses. I could ask if she would let it go. But I wonder if it may be higher than your friends budget may allow. My guess is she would want around $400-$500 for it.

Want me to check?

Yeah I would assume (since she's in the first year of glad school) but I will ask.
Year? Is Sports okay for the ocean?

If Naoaki's friend isn't interested in this, this would be great for my oldest son to get into his own kayak.  Let me know if his friend passes, and the wife is willing to sell, thanks!
